The epidemic prevention authority announced today the epidemic risk assessment index. After that, the epidemic assessment will be carried out weekly, if it reaches the highest level of “very high” risk, will discuss whether to interrupt the daily plan of recovery.
The Central Anti-epidemic Countermeasures Headquarters issued a regular epidemic risk assessment system, which will conduct an epidemic assessment every week, and evaluate the overall epidemic risk in the previous 4 weeks, which is divided into 5 levels of “very low”, “low”, “medium”, “high”, and “very high”, the evaluation criteria include three categories and 17 detailed indicators, including medical and epidemic prevention response indicators, epidemic status indicators, and vaccination indicators.
When the utilization rate of intensive care beds is more than 75%, the risk assessment result within one week is a high or very high risk, and the assessment result within 4 weeks is high risk or very high risk, or when the special committee proposes, the “emergency assessment” mechanism will be activated. The anti-epidemic authorities will decide whether to continue loosening epidemic prevention based on the results of the assessment
The Central Anti-epidemic Countermeasures Headquarters assessed the national epidemic from November 7 to 13 as “low risk”. The risk in the metropolitan area where the confirmed cases are concentrated is “medium”, and the risk in the non-capital area is “very low”.
The number of newly diagnosed cases in South Korea on the 16th exceeded 3,000 again, and the number of critically ill patients reached 522. According to the statistics of the authorities, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds in the metropolitan area is nearly 70%. If the number of confirmed cases continues to rise, It is very likely that the emergency assessment mechanism will be activated in the short term.
