        Recently, the Omicron epidemic in South Korea has spread rapidly, and the number of confirmed cases in a single day has continued to hit a new high. It has exceeded 20,000 cases for two consecutive days, and the number of home treatments has surged, forcing the authorities to decide to reduce the number of telephone consultations to 1 or 2 times a day.
        According to statistics from the Korea Central Epidemic Prevention Countermeasures Headquarters, as of 0:00 a.m. on February 3, there were 22,907 new confirmed cases in South Korea, an increase of more than 2,000 cases from the previous day, and the number of home-treated patients increased by 7,716 to 97,136, approaching the current national estimated manageable cap of 109,000 people.
        A total of 907,214 cases have been diagnosed in South Korea so far, and the epidemic in both the capital and non-capital areas has continued to spread. The number of community infections in Seoul exceeded 5,000 for the first time on the 2nd, and the total number of non-capital areas exceeded 9,000 for the first time.
        There were 104,465 new confirmed cases across Japan on the 3rd, breaking the 100,000 mark for the first time, setting a new record of 94,913 new cases the day before.
        Tokyo recorded 20,679 new confirmed cases on the 3rd, breaking the 20,000-case mark for two consecutive days. There were 19,615 new cases in Osaka Prefecture, 7,090 in Kanagawa Prefecture, 6,502 in Hyogo Prefecture, and 5,827 in Aichi Prefecture. On the 3rd, the number of confirmed cases in 16 counties hit a single-day high.
        A total of 3,025,664 confirmed cases have been confirmed across Japan, breaking the 3 million mark for the first time. On the 3rd, 88 confirmed deaths were reported, bringing the cumulative total to 190.55 million confirmed deaths so far.
        Russia reported 155,768 confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, up again from 141,883 the day before. The government’s outbreak response team also reported 667 deaths in the past 24 hours.
        The Ukrainian Ministry of Health said on the 3rd that it reported 39,620 new cases in the past 24 hours, breaking a single-day record for confirmed cases. The previous high was 37,351 confirmed cases on January 29.
        According to data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, 210 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.
